The first month of life was full of challenges when Saafia was diagnosed with stage 5 retinopathy of prematurity. This dangerous condition requires immediate intervention. The girl's family, citizens of one of the CIS countries, travelled to Russia for their daughter's treatment, where they paid for 2 surgeries with their own resources.

Retinopathy is treated in stages, so funds are needed for the next operation.

At the moment all possibilities of the family have been exhausted and they turned to our foundation for help.
