Thanks to your generosity and support, an 8-year-old girl born prematurely and suffering from serious eye diseases (organic lesions of the visual analysers and posterior aggressive retinopathy) received the glasses she needed!

Leysan underwent complex surgeries - an EPR inhibitor and laser coagulation - which allowed her to preserve her vision. However, Leysan's vision remains very poor and special glasses are vital to improve her quality of life and ability to navigate the world around her. Leysan's mum, who is raising her children alone and works as a childminder, could not afford this purchase. Leysan's mum thanks you from the bottom of her heart for your kindness and responsiveness! Leysan has poor vision after retinopathy of prematurity and needs special glasses!

Leysan, 8 years old, born prematurely at 28 weeks, faced serious vision problems. She was diagnosed with organic lesions of the visual analysers and posterior aggressive retinopathy.

These are serious diseases related to the development of the retina, which often lead to blindness if not treated in time. Fortunately, Leysan was given the necessary treatments: an ERR inhibitor and laser coagulation.

The treatment has preserved her vision, but vision in her left and right eyes remains extremely poor. Leysan needs special glasses to improve her quality of life and her ability to navigate in space.

Her mother, who works as a kindergarten teacher and raises her children alone, cannot afford to buy the necessary glasses due to the modest family budget.
