When a dam burst in the Orenburg region and water began flooding entire towns and villages, thousands of people were urgently evacuated to temporary shelters. It is difficult to provide such a large number of people with all vital necessities without support. And only by joining forces - with the Orenburg funds "Preserving Life" and "Good Road", with local social security agencies and asking for your support - we were able to come to the aid of people in an emergency.

In the first days, we paid for food, bedding, warm blankets, hygiene products, baby food and diapers. And that helped people to cope in that difficult moment, to survive it. They needed warmth, food and cleanliness - and you gave it to them. Thank you!

Flooding in the Orenburg region: victims need help

Three days ago, due to severe flooding, several sections of the dam in the Orenburg region were destroyed. Water rushed into populated areas and flooded houses, schools, and kindergartens. A state of emergency has been declared in the region, several settlements have been flooded, people are being transported by boat to temporary accommodation centers.

In the first half of the day alone today (04/08/2024), 736 people were evacuated. The dam continues to collapse, water floods more and more populated areas. People can only take documents and medicines with them. Many arrive at temporary accommodation centers in wet clothes.

By supporting the collection, you will help purchase blankets, clothes, linen, toothbrushes, hygiene products, diapers, diapers, cereals and canned food for the victims - all this will greatly help the victims.
