Alinur from Astana is only a year and 8 months, but he is already in danger. A kid can lose his left eye without timely treatment. ⠀ On August 10, 2020, the baby was given a terrible diagnosis - retinoblastoma, eye cancer. Due to the large size of the tumor, the boy was sent to surgery. But parents did not accept the removal of the eye and were looking for organ-preserving treatment. And they found it. ⠀ After examinations at Blokhin Cancer Center, doctors offered intravitreal (IVCT) and selective intraarterial (SIACT) chemotherapy. The peculiarity of such therapy is that the drug is injected directly into the eye artery. ⠀ In total, Alinur needs to complete 6 courses. The earlier you start treatment, the more chances you have to save your eye.
