Since then, the Foundation's specialists - occupational and physical therapists - have visited dozens of families across Russia, where children and teenagers diagnosed with spina bifida are brought up.

Support from the Tooba charity app helped pay for their work: the specialists were engaged in examining children, writing rehabilitation plans, consulting parents, and planning medical routing. This is a huge layer of work in our foundation, thanks to which our children always remain under observation and we always know what needs and successes arise in our wards

Let's support professionals working with children diagnosed with spina bifida!

Islamiya and other physical therapists of the Foundation continue to make home visits to children in different cities of Russia, especially in places where there is little help for children with a complex diagnosis of spinal cord clefting.

Physical therapists have a wide range of tasks - to adjust a wheelchair, to adjust a verticalizer, to advise the child's parents on various issues: nutrition, sleep, education, physical activity. In addition to face-to-face sessions, the Foundation's specialists write recommendations for schools and kindergartens attended by children; make individual lesson plans; write reports on the results of lessons with children and much more.

Such work should also be paid for. After all, the quality of visits and, as a result, the recovery process of a child diagnosed with spina bifida depends on the planning of work with children.
