Madiyar was born at term and nothing foreshadowed problems with his eyesight, but a month after discharge, the parents of the baby noticed that Madiyar absolutely does not follow objects. The parents started to examine the child and 4 months later serious vision problems were confirmed.

In Madiyar's home country such diseases are not treated yet and Madiyar was sent for surgery to the Children's Clinical Hospital in St. Petersburg.
