Foster children often have difficulties communicating and building relationships with their peers. Some of them experience a strong sense of fear, so they cannot find friends and socialize. Socialization is a very important step towards overcoming a traumatic early childhood, the loss of biological parents, life in an orphanage. Often in an orphanage or asocial families, children are forced to survive and fight for their lives.

During group sessions with a psychologist, children learn to communicate and build relationships with other children, safely express their emotions, resolve conflicts, and socialize in a playful format. Thanks to your help, 10 children visited a psychologist over 20 sessions and found their first friends!

For Sasha to conquer her fears after living in an orphanage, she needs to continue her sessions with a psychologist

Six months ago, four-year-old Sasha came into the family of Yulia. The foster mom was warned that the girl prefers to be alone, feels uncomfortable in the presence of people, and dislikes playing with other children. Sasha's fear was also connected with adaptation in a new family, distrust to foster parents and inability to establish relations with new people. Now Sasha is working in a group with a psychologist together with other children with similar difficulties. The result of the lessons is evident: Sasha no longer runs away at the sight of other children and shows interest in them. But in order to completely get rid of the consequences of life in the orphanage, Sasha and other children need to continue group sessions with a psychologist, so as not to get a setback in skills.
