6 times a week our catering unit works for the benefit of lonely and frail elderly people. This is a group of old people who lack the strength and means to organize their own nutrition. Thanks to you and me, the elderly receive nutritious and varied meals every day, baked goods, seasonal vegetables and fruits.

During the time we have been delivering food to elderly people in need, we have noted a tendency towards normalization of weight in our elderly, the joy of meeting our couriers and other fund employees, a sparkle in the eyes and an improvement in their mood in life.

Our project is not only food, it is attention and participation. And since all project participants are deprived of the support of their relatives, we can safely talk about comprehensive care for lonely old people.

In August, thanks to you, 21 people received 546 set meals. Thank you very much, tubers!

Lonely seniors need hot meals

Unfortunately, finding oneself in a situation of solitary old age can happen to anyone. Once upon a time, our beneficiaries at the Foundation were elderly individuals who worked hard, raised children, socialized with friends and loved ones, and never anticipated that one day they would be left alone. However, life took its course. Each of them has their own somber story: some had their children taken by fate, while others were simply abandoned by their relatives. The meager income doesn't allow these seniors to have proper meals, and due to frail health, most of them can no longer leave their homes.

Every day in our social canteen, elderly individuals who are alone receive hot meals, and for those with weakened health, our couriers deliver meals to their homes, helping them avoid life in elderly care facilities.

Your support will help us secure funding for a portion of the expenses for this program. The funds collected will be sufficient to purchase the necessary groceries for preparing meals for the isolated elderly individuals.
