We want to let you know that our mentee Muhammad had the surgery he needed and has already recovered and is feeling great!

Muhammad was born early. The baby had already had several eye operations and the surgeons were happy with the results, but Muhammad urgently needed a second surgery to consolidate the results.

All surgeries for citizens of CIS countries in Russia are not free of charge. Muhammad's mother could not afford to pay for his son's treatment - she does not work and raises her son alone, so they turned to our foundation for help.

Together we helped Muhammad keep his eyesight! Muhammad's mom would like to thank everyone from the bottom of her heart! Thank you!

Muhammad needs surgery to save his eyesight!

Muhammad was born prematurely at 28 weeks of pregnancy. When the baby was 2.5 months old, Muhammad was diagnosed with grade 4-5 retinopathy of prematurity in both eyes at an ophthalmologist appointment. This meant that the baby had practically no vision.

The baby has already had several eye operations and the surgeons are happy with the results, but Muhammad needs a second surgery to consolidate the results.

In the boy's home country there is currently no treatment for retinopathy of prematurity. The baby is doomed to complete blindness here. But doctors in Russia can help him. Ophthalmic surgeons from St. Petersburg can fight for Muhammad's eyesight.

All surgeries for CIS citizens in Russia have to be paid for. Muhammad's mother cannot afford to pay for his treatment now - she does not work and raises her son alone.
