Aslan has aplastic anemia and he urgently needs a bone marrow transplant.
Last August Aslan got food poisoning. He took a long time to recover. After a week, the whites of his eyes turned yellow. Aslan thought he had jaundice and went to the hospital. But doctors could not give an exact diagnosis.
Aslan searched for the cause of his illness for almost five months. All that time he had a fever. He went to Moscow, visited several hospitals and different specialists. But the doctors could not come up with a diagnosis.
Finally in December, specialists told Aslan that he had a blood disorder, aplastic anemia. Also, infections attacked his body. Aslan was severely exhausted. His body can't handle the adverse reactions from the treatment.
Now Aslan needs an emergency bone marrow transplant to survive. This is his only chance to recover.
Aslan's sister will be the donor. And that's a great piece of luck. But Aslan's family cannot afford to pay for this part of the treatment. So they need ous help.
