Bilal was diagnosed with Grade 5 retinopathy of prematurity at 6 months of age. With this disease, the child urgently needed an operation to avoid going blind.

The family could not afford to pay for the surgery because of the difficult financial situation, so they turned to the Providence Foundation for help.

In February of this year the baby had his first surgery and 7 months later he had another surgery on his eye, thanks to your help!

Bilal needs a second eye surgery!

Bilal Uraimov was born at 33 weeks with a weight of 1900 grams. The baby was in the intensive care unit for 20 days.

When he was 6 months old, doctors discovered problems with his eyes and diagnosed him with retinopathy of prematurity degree 5. This is a condition in which the child urgently needs surgery on his eyes, or else the child goes blind.

In February 2022 Bilal had his first surgery on both eyes at St. Petersburg Children's Hospital. Now he needs a second surgery on one eye.

His family cannot afford to pay for the surgery, Bilal's father works on construction sites and his mother is at home with three young children.
