Nuria received a special therapeutic diet and the medication Nitisinon, which she needed. ❤️🩹

Now the baby is undergoing therapy to prevent most of the complications associated with the disease.

2-month-old Nuria needs urgent treatment!

Nuria is only 2 months old.

Her problems started already in the first hours of her life. Her condition was so bad she had to be taken to intensive care. From the maternity hospital she was transferred to the children's city clinical hospital named after N.F. Filatov. The doctors barely managed to stabilise her condition.

The girl was diagnosed with tyrosinemia type 1.

The metabolism of the amino acid tyrosine is disturbed in this disease. This causes damage to the liver, kidneys and peripheral nerves.

Without adequate treatment, tyrosinemia causes liver failure, complicates cirrhosis of the liver, heart failure and leads to abnormal bone formation.

Nuriye has been given a special treatment diet and therapy with the drug Nitisinon to prevent most of the complications associated with the disease.
