Karina is an orphan with severe orthopedic problems. She needs a wheelchair in order to be able to go outside

Karina has spent almost her entire life living in the Detskiy dom for people with disabilities in Leningradskaya oblast. She has motor impairments and has difficulty controlling her limbs.

Five years ago, she was bedridden and could barely sit up. Fond «Ty emu nuzhen» has known Karina for a long time and has provided her with significant support: through the Tooba platform, they raised funds to pay for a nanny, for rehabilitation, for orthoses, and much more. Thanks to her hard work, the foundation’s support, and multiple rehabilitation courses, Karina has achieved incredible progress.

Now, the main result of this work is that Karina has learned to walk on her own using a walker! She has a tremendous desire to move and to live. However, she still needs a wheelchair to go outside, as the walker is large and cumbersome—it’s simply impossible to take it out for walks. Unfortunately, Karina’s current stroller has broken, and the process of getting a new one through official channels is very lengthy.
