Not long ago, Adelina lived in a children's residential care home and hardly ever left its grounds. Due to problems with her legs, the girl could not walk, did not attend school, and was separated from her brother.
Doctors believed that Adelina could be helped to walk. The 'You Are Needed by Him' foundation developed an individual treatment plan for her, and for the chance to walk, the girl had to go through a lot. But it was all worth it—Adelina found an adoptive family. Her brother was also taken home with her, and they were finally able to reunite.
Last year, the girl underwent surgery and has already completed the first stage of recovery. The therapy sessions have paid off: her muscles have strengthened, she has gained confidence in her movements, and Adelina has come much closer to her main dream.
Now she needs a second stage of rehabilitation. It is regular, intensive sessions that will help consolidate her progress, refine her walking technique, and finally learn to walk.
