Timofey is 10 years old and has spent most of his life living with a foster family. Timosha’s foster mother does not distinguish between biological and foster children, and the boy was quickly accepted and loved in his new family.

“Timofey cannot be left alone — he gets scared. He cannot say this, but he knows very well how to show it,” says the boy’s nanny. “It is vital for him to have an adult nearby who will simply stay with him, take a walk, brush his teeth, and feed him.”

With the nanny by his side, Timosha calms down and starts smiling again. There are many children like Timofey. They end up in the hospital alone, without loved ones, without an adult nearby.
