Abdusalam is 4 years old. At 10 months, his parents consulted a neurologist because the boy was lagging behind his peers in development. Specialists diagnosed him with autism spectrum disorder and delayed psycho-speech development.
Abdusalam does not interact with other children, may run away when outside, does not like to stay in one place, and does not know how to wait. He has not developed self-care skills and does not speak. Despite all the challenges, Abdusalam is a kind and cheerful boy; he loves swinging and jumping on a trampoline. Abdusalam is interested in animals, can spend a long time looking at books, and enjoys playing with dinosaur figurines.
In order for the boy to improve his understanding of spoken language and begin to speak, he needs the help of a behavioral analyst, a speech therapist-defectologist, and specialists in adaptive physical education and sensory integration.
