Dima has a malignant tumor. He needs to undergo a special examination to monitor the disease

Dima fell ill when he was nine. One ordinary September day, he suddenly complained of severe toothache. After a month of medical examinations, Dima received his diagnosis: embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma. Ahead lay urgent treatment — first in his hometown of Rostov-on-Don, and then in St. Petersburg and Moscow.

Since October 2022, Dima has undergone several rounds of chemotherapy — which took a particularly heavy toll on him — as well as surgery to remove a malignant tumor and a course of proton therapy. In April 2024, Dima achieved long-awaited remission and returned to his favorite sport, football.

Every year, Dima undergoes a vital examination using high-precision equipment: magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). This helps keep his condition under control. Dima now needs to travel to St. Petersburg for another MRI scan. Unfortunately, this procedure is not covered by the compulsory medical insurance system. That is why we are turning to you for help.
