Muslim has a severe stage of retinopathy. The boy needs ophthalmological surgery!

Muslim is just four months old. He is a very affectionate and sociable baby: he loves being held and listening to familiar voices; he smiles, kicks his arms and legs energetically, and is already trying to hold his head up.

When Muslim was two months old, his parents noticed something was wrong with his eyes. An examination revealed severe damage to both eyes, including retinal detachment, cataracts, and significant scarring. The right eye was particularly badly affected.

In July, the boy underwent two complex surgeries. Doctors removed the damaged tissue and lenses, and treated the retina and vitreous body. While the left eye showed improvement after treatment, further surgery is required.

Now, Muslim needs a follow-up operation on his right eye. Surgeons must free the retina from dense scar tissue, reduce tension on it, and return it to its proper position.

For such a young child, it is crucial not to delay the next stage of treatment. The process is gradual, and each surgery helps save the eye and gives it the best possible chance for future development.

The family lives modestly; only the father works, while the mother stays home with the children. They cannot afford the expensive treatment on their own.
