Khanifa with an intestinal malformation requires therapeutic nutrition and IV supplies

Since the first month of her life, Khanifa has been on parenteral nutrition—a type of feeding that contains all the substances necessary for growth and development and is delivered via an IV catheter directly into a vein. Regular food is not fully absorbed, so therapeutic nutrition makes up for all deficiencies.
Out of the four children in this family, it is Khanifa who is the ringleader, whom her family calls 'our ataman.' She is not afraid of injections, even when all the boys squeal. She dreams of becoming an artist when she grows up. But that will be later, when she stops hiding her subclavian catheter from her classmates and spending 12 hours every night on IV drips, except on Saturdays and Sundays. There is still one more two-year step to go—until she turns 9, which Khanifa is looking forward to so much.
'The thing is,' explains her mother Zarema, 'that the doctors are giving us hope, because after the surgery, Khanifa's intestine has already grown by 15 centimeters! There is evidence for a good outcome. We just need a little more patience.'
Please help raise funds for therapeutic nutritional formulas and IV supplies: filters, syringes, sterile dressings, catheter care solutions, and more. Let's help—let Khanifa eat and grow!
