With the old hearing aids, the boy with hearing loss heard as if he were underwater. Some sounds would reach him, but not clearly. At home, his parents had to communicate with him using gestures, always turning to face the child during conversations and speaking very loudly. But this helped little. By the age of 10, Artem's vocabulary was very limited, and in order to move the situation forward, it was urgently necessary to replace the old hearing aids, which could no longer be repaired and had long since stopped working, with new ones. And that's when you, friends, came to the rescue!
Now Artem has new and powerful hearing aids. His mother, Yulya, says she immediately noticed that speech clarity in the new devices is much higher, her son understands her better, and she no longer has to make extra efforts to get her point or request across to him. "And I'm also very happy that his vocabulary is expanding now that he can hear those around him better."
Artem himself is extremely proud of his new hearing aids—they're a cool, modern gadget. He showed them off both at school and in the yard. They have an awesome feature—they connect to a phone, and the caller's voice or music goes straight to his ear, with no background noise. The boy is happy. And so are we, for him. Thank you!
