There is no trace left of the skull deformation the baby was born with. After four months of wearing an orthopedic helmet, the child's head has become much more symmetrical. Thank you for your support!
While still in the womb, the boy’s sagittal suture had completely fused: a hard ridge formed where the fontanelle should have been. Because of this, his head grew disproportionately—only the forehead and the back of the head increased in size. That’s why Abdur-Rakhman needed cranial surgery, and for further treatment, a custom orthopedic helmet.
"A huge thank you to everyone who responded and helped my son," says Fariza. "After the surgery, the doctors warned us that 60% of the result would now depend on wearing the helmet. Now I see that this is really true!"
Thanks to the timely surgery and the prompt provision of a corrective orthopedic helmet, nothing now threatens the growing brain, and Abdur-Rakhman is developing without delays. At eight months old, he crawls quickly on all fours, pulls himself up to stand, loves to roll a ball, and talks to his older brothers and sister (he has three) in his own language.
By the end of December this year, helmet therapy will be fully completed and the diagnosis of 'scaphocephaly' will be lifted. Thank you for giving Abdur-Rakhman the chance to grow up healthy!
