Katya was born with severe developmental disorders and spent her first years in an orphanage. Last spring, a future adoptive mother saw her in a post by the “He Needs You” foundation. That’s how the girl got a family.

At home, Katya began to change gradually. She, who previously showed almost no response to the world around her, learned to smile, follow toys with her eyes, and reach out to her loved ones.

To continue her development and acquire new skills, Katya needs comprehensive rehabilitation — sessions with a speech therapist, a speech and language therapist, and movement specialists.

Thanks to the support of Tooba users, Katya was able to complete the necessary rehabilitation course. The classes helped the girl continue her development and work on skills that are important to her.

Katya is an adopted girl with a serious diagnosis. She needs rehabilitation to catch up in the development of her peers!

Katya was born with severe developmental disabilities. She spent the first years of her life in an orphanage. In the spring of last year, her future foster mother saw her in a post by the foundation "He needs you" — a serious, not childishly sad look with big brown eyes and a lot of scary diagnoses.

At home, Katya began to change. The girl, who hardly reacted to the world, learned to smile, follow toys with her eyes, and reach out to her loved ones. But the time in the orphanage took a lot away. Katya especially needs comprehensive rehabilitation now: classes with a speech pathologist, speech therapist, and movement specialists. It is important not to miss the age, while the brain is plastic, and prepare the girl for life as much as possible.

The family has six adopted children. Three preschoolers, two of them are disabled children. Only Dad works in the family. They cannot pay for Katya's ongoing rehabilitation on their own.
