For many large families, winter brings more than just coziness and holiday preparations; it also brings a series of difficult choices. Should they buy a child new boots or save the money for food? Pay the heating bill or take a sick little one to the doctor? Ahead of the New Year, we launched a fundraising campaign to ensure families facing hardship wouldn't have to face such dilemmas.
Thanks to your support, the campaign was a success. We used the funds raised to purchase and distribute 150 food packages to the families we support. The total weight of the aid exceeded 1.5 tons. Each package weighed about 10 kg and contained essentials: grains, pasta, flour, cooking oil, canned goods, tea, sugar, and sweets.
This supply covered basic food needs for several weeks. Beyond that, we gave these families something money can't buy: peace of mind and time together. With their budgets freed up, moms and dads could finally breathe easy. They were able to buy things they previously couldn't afford and pick out—however modest—long-awaited gifts for their children.
Your generosity became a true New Year’s miracle. After all, these food packages represent something more: the reassurance that, even in hard times, there are people ready to help.
