Appazali, 20, from Kyrgyzstan, has suffered from a complex ailment since childhood. When he was 4 years old, he had shortness of breath and rapid fatigue, and at age 10, doctors sounded the alarm. The boy's condition was worsening. After numerous examinations, Appazali was diagnosed with grade IV neuromuscular thoracolumbar kyphoscoliosis on the background of Emery-Dreyfus muscular dystrophy.
