Deni is 9 years old, he has attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder. By the age of 3, the boy had lost his understanding of spoken language, stopped speaking and playing with children.
First of all, the boy contacted a behavioral analyst, and his cooperation with the teacher improved, who conducted special testing of motivational stimuli. These steps allowed Deni to introduce the first and second stages of the PECS alternative communication system and a system of tokens (rewards). Thanks to the work of the teachers, Deni learned to sit at the study table for a long time while completing assignments, compare identical subjects, and simulate simple actions with a subject.
After undergoing intensive training with an adaptive physical education instructor and a sensory integration specialist, Deni learned how to jump, perform ball exercises, overcome obstacle courses, crawl, perform exercises to improve large and small motor skills, and even ride a bicycle.
During the rehabilitation, the child also underwent a course of hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The use of hardware techniques had a beneficial effect on the boy's attention, reaction and speed of thinking.
