"My daughter's name is Katerina, she recently turned 6 years old. Katyusha was born at a very early stage - at 24 weeks. She weighed only 700 grams, in the first days she had 4 brain hemorrhages. At four months, Katya was given palliative status, and we spent the entire first year of her life in hospitals," says the girl's mother, Elena.
Katya's parents heroically fought against all obstacles to bring the baby home. Our foundation gave the family an oxygen concentrator, since Katyusha cannot breathe on her own, and without oxygen support the girl had to stay in the hospital permanently.
For five years now, Elena has been caring for her daughter herself. Since Katya spends almost all her time lying down, phlegm accumulates in her lungs, which the girl cannot cough up. And since the baby's lungs have been in poor condition since birth, the accumulation of phlegm causes constant bronchitis. For Katya, any cold, even the mildest, is very dangerous, and bronchitis can quickly develop into pneumonia.
To remove phlegm, Katya needs a special respiratory tract cleaning system. The girl's mother does not have the funds to buy the equipment herself.
