Slavik was left in the care of his great-grandfather, 68-year-old Alexander Adeevich, who has been taking care of his great-grandson since birth.
It was not immediately clear that Slavik had lymphostasis. Local doctors examined him several times, but they did not pay attention to the swelling of his left leg. The caring great-grandfather raised the alarm. He was willing to take the baby to Moscow for examinations and rehabilitation.
The boy needs microsurgery to improve lymph drainage, but it is not included in the compulsory medical insurance program. Elderly relatives do not have the necessary amount.
